My client said: I am sure my company will soon be filing for bankruptcy.
I asked: What do you know?
My client replied: First, I heard it from my colleague. Then, I saw a headline in the news. Third, I overheard someone at the water cooler.
The Truth: There was something happening. It wasn’t a bankruptcy. The company was purchased. All employees stayed with the new entity AND they received generous bonuses.
Hearing something 3 times doesn’t make it true.
The truth about repetition: repetition is not the truth.
