Start With The Ending

If you want someone to hear your idea,
start with the ending.
Share the anticipated solution.
Mention the expected win.
If you say this: I was thinking about something;
or this: I have some ideas about our team;
the conversation might never take place.
Instead, try these:
- I know how to save us 25% on that deal we are negotiating.
- I have several clients who will extend their contract with a 10% increase.
- I want to share my idea that will cut 8 weeks from our recruiting process.
People will stop to listen because you are leading with what will be achieved.
When you want someone to listen to your idea,
start with what interests them.
Savings? More revenue? Speed?
That is the ending.
Start with it.
